#6 ~ Heritage Home Gardens.
Guests were invited to come and sit on the wraparound porch of this 95-year-old home
and enjoy the variety of informal gardens. Features included a
vegetable garden, cactus and succulent garden, sunny perennial
gardens, and a peaceful shade garden. Many enjoyed them and all
the beauty they brought. |

#7 ~ Wooded Retreat. A
unique combination of natural habitats blended with a park-like
setting to produce a special garden experience. Gardening
ingenuity abounded with the use of wetlands, woodlands,
wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and many native plants. Many
enjoyed the cottage and shade gardens.

#8 ~ River Birch Nature Gardens.
Seven acres of formal gardens and natural areas showcased this
marriage of humans and nature. Three major garden areas featured
perennials, annuals, ornamental trees and bushes. Two enclosed
sun rooms were open for the day. Water abounded, with many
pools, waterfalls, a natural spring, half acre pond, and a creek
flowing gently through the gardens. Many came for a short easy
stroll or a longer hike in the back woods to see the varied
treasures.
